We’d heard about Fling for a while before we signed up. After seeing a few articles about it on friends’ feeds, we decided it would be worth checking out. It is kind of like Tinder, but different enough and better in many ways.

First off, you should know that Fling is free to use. The website’s most attractive feature is that you can set up dates for yourself on your own time. That means no emails from pushy people asking if you want to go on a date.
Fling basically functions like a matchmaker, organizing people for you on the app. Once you download the app, you can scan a list of nearby people who are interested in you. Then you can decide if you want to start a conversation.

Fling offers two additional ways to find potential matches, either through your friends, Facebook, or by searching for people on Instagram. The site encourages people to swipe right for every person they find attractive, or just “like” for the few people you connect with.

Fling was created in 2011, and currently boasts more than 2 million active users. It also has more than 25,000 open profiles, and more than 500,000 swipes a day. It’s probably the second-largest dating site in the United States.
You can use Fling to find out who’s interested in you based on your likes and interests. It claims it can also help users find your “perfect match” by searching photos on Facebook and browsing profiles of the people who are more likely to be interested in you.
If you can’t find someone you like, Fling will ask you to complete a questionnaire. The site shows you the percentage of people who responded to your questionnaire and if it was a yes, you can choose whether to accept it or decline.

According to Fling’s official site, the platform is currently available to people who are 18 or older, although the site is also accepting applications from people who are under 18. There is no shortage of options for youth on Fling, either, since Fling claims that it is “the first dating platform exclusively for younger people,” meaning that users aged 18 to 25 can even swipe with friends and use the chat feature.
Fling also promises that it will never ask you for personal information over the chat feature and that it will never keep your information even after your membership expires. So, if you don’t want to remain a member, Fling will wipe the information from your account.

Fling is a great dating site, or more accurately, a hookup app. If you’re looking for some quick casual sex and Tinder and Bumble fail to deliver, then Fling’s definitely worth trying.

It’s also a completely anonymous way to meet someone, because you can choose just your gender and nothing about yourself is ever revealed. You also don’t need to use your real name, and no one will ever know who you are. This has the potential to make it an even better option if you’re looking for something a little less serious and a little more fun.
